at these prices, I'm never going to make it back to Florida, although I'm looking to be back in the St. Pete beach area, maybe a little less expensive.

Just had an e-mail from Corporate this week that although we are buying up smaller operations all across the country, they decided to get out of Florida and let the Florida sales rep. go.
I was hoping the Co. would buy a place down there and move us...

So much for that plan...

Thanks for all the great feedback. I just a dumb Yankee excanucker trying to ensure I have a spot for the boat while all the marinas transform into no boat condos.

Anyone heard of waterfront development plans in Homestead? Lots of room there to do some great waterfront subdivisions. Hear rumors, what's up? That would be my preferred location.

Many hurricane damaged waterfront lots in Port Charolette available less than $200K. Flood insurance required on many of them, so I guess they are very low level. What does this INS cost PA? Not interested in building at present, just want to hold the land and possibily stuff my boat there.

Is that subdivision structurely sound or are all the bulkheads in need of replacement? Soil or limestone behind the bulkheads? No realtors return my calls there as I guess the poor folks are still trying to get their lives back in shape.

Good Idea on the Hugetime property Fountain 38SC! Other half says no though.
