He made me laugh for many years. There will never be anyone like him. I could never get into Leno or Letterman, late night talk TV went away for me once he retired. RIP

There was even talk of him coming back to television last year. I have been a fan since I was a kid, and he will be missed.

That is f'ked up. We were just talking about him in the ER @ 3 this morning not knowing he had passed.
One of the nurses was saying he didn't look good in the most recent photo she saw, and commented that he had smoked for years.
There has never been anything like him in talk, late night or otherwise.
He gave hundreds of artists there first exposure, and was naturally funny and friendly.
