Check out Dave Scott's Bacardi website
Wow, I just visited the Bacardi Silver Offshore Racing website. It's really awesome, lots of pictures and videos. Dave, your website is a reflection of your whole racing program - First Class. The link is www.nautiboats.com

Re: Check out Dave Scott's Bacardi website
GLH - no, we didn't get the prop back but we found out who has it. It's an individual in the Miami area and he doesn't want to sell it or return it to us. Legally, according to Florida's salvage right laws, it is still ours. So, if it is ever returned to Hering for repair or it ever surfaces in the public, we will seize it. In the meantime, possession is 90% of the law I guess so we are having a replacement prop made to match. Thanks for asking about the prop and for taking time to view our webpage.

Does the individual have a reason for not returning it? It's amazing that some people have to be that way... I'd send a couple of burly guys to pay him a visit, if ya know what I mean...

That stinks about the prop, sorry to hear that there are people like that in the world .
You're a class act to be handling this so gracefully.

Great site, fitting for such a great team. It boggles the mind that someone would want to hold onto that prop. It is totally useless to him, it will take years to find a seller not aware of it's taint, and on top of that he is entitled to 10% or more slavage value legally, which I assume is a pretty tidy sum. Of course an honest person would simply return it in exchange for the gratitude of the team and their sponsor-hell the SWAG from that could be really sweet Good luck on getting it straightened out David.
