I've owned both and to me, hands down, triples are the best...by far. I currently have a 40'hustler with triples and all the positives mentioned above are true
1.) faster with less hp per motor
2.) Less stress on the drive train - ran 650 HP through bone stock Bravos for 8 years and did not ever have 1 drive failure
3.) And not many folks will believe this, but my triple engine hustler used less fuel than my 38' Scarab (yes the hustler is stepped and the Scarab wasn't)
I would never own anything else - that's why I just purchased another triple engine boat. Guess I'll being finding out how bad resale is on a triple engine boat...it's really not like people think cuz most have never owned one
