A word about Lip-Ship Marine.....
I've met Phil in Passing before but really never got a chance to really meet him.
I flew to Miami last weekend to look at a boat he has for sale. I went with my fiance, her 10 yr old daughter and a friend of ours.
Flew in Friday early morning, ate and headed to Lip-Ship. Boat was in the water and Phil was handling business as usual. Said our hello's and decided to go for a sea-trial.
Now, to me, a sea trial is you take the boat out get it up on plane, run it wide open a bit, turn it a few times and take it back. Is that what we did? No. Phil proceedes to take us for this un-explainably awesome run out of the cut with 6' rollers over to the stilt houses then to lunch at monty's where I had to fight him for the bill. He then proceeded to give us the grand tour of the bays and all the houses. we were out on this boat for like 4-5 hours!!!
Now that is cool, but theres more. Saturday rolls around and we have time to kill before our flight so we head back to Phils. He has a Gladiator in the water that he was supposed to sea trial with the potential buyer. the guy doesn't show. so what do we do? Everyone in the gladiator 'cause we're going to lunch at Montys! And Phil buys!!! Then it's back in the Gladiator for a completely surreal ride back to his shop with the sunset setting over the buildings and glass water! It was AWESOME!!! After all of that he offers his home for us to change in before our flight.
All of this for a boat that doesn't cost a 1/4 of the boats he normally sells! and he's not making a cent on the sale!
I've heard people say they've had bad dealing with Lipship but I've never had a better experience with a salesman in my life!! I'm here to tell you that Phil is a class act through and through and cant wait to do more business with him in the future. He absolutely made our weekend and I thank him for it.
