yo. jc, why do you have a hose giong from valve cover breather to the air cleaner assm? i have read that oil in the combustion chamber leads to detination problems and with marine use detination is already an issue. what gives?

jc,i understand the blowby issue the car guys use header vacuum which is the right thing as oil laden air in the header/exhaust won't increase the probability of detination, but using intake vacuum to draw oil laden air into the engine? what if any benefit does the oil laden air have on performance? wouldn't you agree that any oil in the combustion chamber aids detination?

JC Why do engine builders not use a Moroso vacuum pump instead of going to the flame arrestor like we do on the drag cars?Is it the extra belt? Just curious?Later Sean.
