I got my answer from the Racer's Milling Area:

Re: LOOK OUT for the BAD BOY SUPER V this season.

No website as of yet. If one gets put together soon I will post it under this thread.

Lovin' the passion here.

Sharkey raises a good point. As the market turns ( or turns not ) toward poker run boats, even though it's not a "race", it would be nice to see Fountain show up at the big U.S. poker runs with some serious poker run hardware. Right now, among the V-hull manufacturers, Outerlimits boats probably are generating the most "buzz" at the big poker run events.
Maybe THAT is what the Fiore's are going for. If so, maybe we can understand why OL seems to take the "fastest V-hull" challenge so seriously.
BTW. . . I talked with Mike Fiore for a while at the Clevelander ( it was LATE ) during the Miami Show. . . real straight shooter, real nice guy. We talked about the "challenge" a bit. He said that their speed run at Cumberland had been postponed, but will certainly happen. Not necessarily at Cumberland, but when they think they can make a serious charge at the record. . . . really a nice guy - and I was wearing a Fountain jacket.

Nobody ever said it was the fastest boat out there but I have plenty of checkered flags that would prove it was the fastest boat on those days.

Question Re: Outerlimits Working Hard On New Spped Record The Facts

DJD,
In the times that you raced, did your OL ever spinout in a turn?

P.S.

Looks like Crew Chief DPT Motorsports has tossed in his wrenches...

C'mon now Dennis, you know that if the majority of the boats out on a race course are Fountains then odds should be pretty good that one of them would win.

BTW, I won't tell George you don't think he is a racer because he drives in a straight line....

Sharkey,

In all of the racing and testing, we never had any spin outs.

Wild Child was the 3rd OL that I owned, and I never had a spin in any of them!

To pick up on DJD, my capable cockpit buddy and driver of "Wild Child", we never claimed to be the fastest, but the OL hull sure loves it ROUGH!!!

As for the competition in F2. In a rough race, it was always close race between Wild Child, Roger and David in the Invensys Fountian, and Brett in the Cigarette (Meesookookie!) and the French boys in another Cig. any any day, it was ususally a toss up as to who would take the win. On a personal note, there will never be another race like race #1 in the 2000 Worlds in Key West!!!

Checkered flags AGREED!
Sorry about the ten year mistake, oh well. We are talking about the single step 37' right?

We ran for 2000-2001. at last count there were 6 firsts, a bunch of seconds, Northeast Champions, second in 2000 Worlds, and a bunch of other plaques and trophies. What's better was that we had a lot of fun, especially the Miss Wild Child Parties on Duvall Street in Key West!

I have been sick as a dog the past few days and missed alot, but personally I think OL is one of the worst looking boats on the market. They have a snub nose and the hull sides are way too high. (ok, let me have it)
