Re: Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire
Usually we spend labor day weekend there. Trailer the
boats and Stay in Wolfboro at a inn called Piping Rock.
The lake offers alot of things for everyone. The mountains
and crystal clear water is a sight to see.
Slowly but surly they are tying to put the clamps to performance boats. Last year Friday of labor day weekend I was stopped Marine patrol. He asked if I was heading back from rattle snake Island. There was a complaint of a yellow and red boat that was loud. it was me and I was not running the mufflers. when he approach me I turned them on. He scheduled me for the DB test on Sunday. Unfortunately blew
a tranny so could not perform the test. I called the MP headquarters and they said I cannot operate there until its tested. Well here we are 8 months later I just booked the cabin for Labor day I will call and reschedule the test.
We have to much fun up there to let this set us back.
Gerry
PS. Switchable mufflers are illegal also. I will make mine
somewhat permanent

Caveman,
How is Piping Rock??? Seen their website , looks pretty nice.
Decent docks?? Where's the closest ramp Wolfeboro?
I stayed at Sandy Point for years , till my boat out grew their docks. Been at Naswa ever since , but the Harleys at 3am can be a little annoying . Last time I was across the street(the Inn) right in front on the first floor by the road. Other times I had a cottage by the water
Thanks

There is a free ramp at the town dock. In the summer the parking lot (small) is jammed with cars and not much room for trailer manuvering - no parking for trailers at all! there is another ramp out by the museum and you can park in the street for the day.
