Dearest Land Walrus,
You of all people know that there is no sense in going big when you can go huge. Hell, why waste time building a mere garage to fit your boat? Just buy a whole freakin' marina right on lake George. Then you can save your garage space for your Hummer, Escalade, BMW, and hiding any extra hookers that may have followed you back from Canada!

Re: need advice on garage size
I started with a 24X32 3 car garage when I purchase my house. I then took one gable end off and attached a 40X60 with 14' ceilings for a car hoist and the use of a overhead mezzanine. I also have storage in the attic of the 40X60 and I still dont have enough room. (60+32=92') So follow Wildman1 and break 100 ft. Between the drag car, 5 snowmobiles,Vette, Blazer, truck, boat, car hoist, forklift, riding lawn mower, wifes Tahoe, bla, bla, bla. Too many toys if you ask the wife. Just remember its cheap to go up (height) so go as high as your "codes" will allow.
