Whipple Stage II Kit for the 496HO (non supercharged)

Going from a simple Whipple re-program kit for $795 for 35 hp, to a $2500 Raylar heads only, not including everything else that goes along with it for 50 hp isn't even comparable... Installing the Raylar kit is flat out a bunch of work. That's a big step-up over re-programming an ecm.
If the Whipple kit actually makes 35 hp and the same torque, what's the point of just Raylar heads alone for only another 15 hp at 4 to 5 times the cost.
Dustin, please step in here...

I would have to believe that heads would increase HP and Torque a great deal more than just a simple ecm re-program, and my point also was so that you don't have to run super but can stick w/ 87

Guys, you have to ask WHERE is this 35 hp increase??? Is it at 3000 rpm? is it at 4000 rpm? If the increase isn't at or around 5000 rpm, don't expect any speed gain. I have the AZS&M kit on my HP500EFI , with the larger throttle body, intake ported to match, and the computer recal, I noticed more snap at mid range, but no speed increase.
These manufactures that claim 35 hp increase, may be referrin to a dyno sheet at 3500 rpm. " Hey look there is an increase here!! Great!" But at 3500 rpm, not top speed increase.
Just FYI.
