Switchable exhaust clanging noise?
I have a 1994 454 mag with switchable exhaust. When I have the exhaust noise off, I'm getting what seems to be a slight clanging sound coming from the switchable exhaust diverter. Seems to only be on the starboard outboard exhaust. And it's not totally constant.
What's in these things? Is something in need of replacement?
Thanks for your help!!!

The flappers tend to get worn out at the hinge pin. They can rattle pretty loud. Depending on which diverters you have, you can take them apart and replace the pin and flap.

I had the same problem. Inside your exhaust tip there is a metal flapper with a rubber lip that keeps it from rattling. When that rubber comes off is when you get that rattle.

Where do you get the parts for these things? Do you have to go back directly to the manufacturer or can you find them online somewhere?
Thanks for the help!
