I'm installing new controls, and need to buy some new cables. Who makes the best ones, slickest, good wear characteristics?
It's a pretty straight shot, so I won't be doing any tight radius's.
Thanks,
Brian

I've found the merc platnium cables to be about the best on the market. They have two lines, the standard and the platnium. The platnium or larger in diameter and have zero resistance. We installed alot as drive indicator cables too wich leeves the end prett much open to saltwater except for the little rubber boot, and we didn't see any problems with them even in this configuration.

Teleflex TFXtreme, absolutely the best out there. Smooth, no slop, and very strong.

Oh, one drawback to the TFXtremes- If you have a very tight run or gap to run them through be aware that they are almost twice as thick as a regular cable. However they will make a a nice tight bend if need be.
