Not sure, but had someone hook a computer to the ecu's of my 98 502's last month and it only gave us a little info. Mainly just confirmed the hour meters were correct, but no running history on RPM's etc.

I've got 96 vintage MarinePower 454's with Arizon Speed EFI. The MEFI's are MEFI I. My RINDA Tester reads all the codes, diplays all the data and performs all the diagnostics.

The Merc scan tool will connect and read data from any Merc EFI engine made in '98. You can get an adapter to read operating hours on carbed Thunderbolt V systems as well.
As t500hps said, a MEFI 1 system will not give a break down of operating hours, just the total.

I have a Rinda scan tool and have used it on my 2000 502's and have not been able to retrieve detailed operating hours for each RPM? It loes report all codes and other operating parameters.

On a MEFI-3 do you obtain the breakdown of operating hours at each RPM range from the scanner via the MEFI-3, or must you connect it somehow to the ignition?
