Default Changing Merc Si Choice Diverters

Im switching to Corsa electric from Merc air operated silent choice and have to re and re the diverters.....I have the smallblock/stock exhaust set up.......can you loosen the 4" rubber exhaust hoses on each end of the diverter (3 of them) and get them out....looks tight to me.....or should I remove the exhaust riser to make more room......thanks doug

I've done before w/o removing the riser, but only because I didn't have a new gasket on hand. Slide the lower boot down onto the y-pipe, then pry!
