The reason why the hp gimbals dont have trim limit switches is because they ASSUME, beiing a gear head with a high perf boat, the opperater has the same knowkledge as you. Not to be sarrcastic, but i agree with what you stated above. Amen Bro

I was just about to start a new thread "how hard to replace", good timing.

wish was that easy - I have Keikhaufer controls, even if was bad switch the rusted out sender needs replacing too. Both sides wires rusted through and no contact.

How about this - since its a case of an open circuit verses a closed circuit, couldn't I just connect the wire ends together and my trim button would work?? i know the limiter would not work but could always use trim indicator as where to stop. I am going to wait til end of season to bust my knuckles, will take drives off any ways for alignment and grease.
Any thoughts???

When the trim limiter wires break it should leave the trim button working, the wires are probablt grounded out. try unhooking the trim limit wires at the trim pump, its just two bullet connectors and you should be in buisness.
