I have a PQ 260 and the water pickup is down so low that when I beach it it fills cooling system with sand and gets plugged.Looking for any answer to fix this problem.

Don't beach it!!!
I have always set an anchor off the front facing out and another off the back facing towards the beach to keep the rear of the boat in 3-4 ft of water. This allows the bow to break any incoming waves and easy entry into the boat from the platform.
Most importantly....it keeps the bow from getting scratched up on the sand.
