I recently installed a new Bravo XR with dual water pickup and have following question.
When running the old Bravo I, I had about 25psi of water pressure at speed. I also have a water dump (pressure relief bypass, boiler valve, whatever you want to call it) installed and set to start dumping at about 23-25 psi. Now with the new drive, I am seeing water pressures in the 35psi range even with the relief valve open.
Obviously, this is due to the increase in water pickup area and the low water pickup's "ram effect" (for lack of a better term). I guess there could be a couple of solutions:
1. Block one or "some" of the pickup orifices.
2. Install an additional relief valve in the system.
Has anyone else experienced the same issues?
