Level of effort - adding trim-on-throttle
My boat (29' Powerquest) does not have drive trim on the throttles, only through switches on the dash. I see that you can buy add-on switches for this function, just wondering how difficult it is to install them. Boat has twin 454's, standard Zero-Effort Merc controls.

DR,
Piece of cake. I had bolt-on trim switch from Rex Marine on my 311 and really liked it. Just be sure to get the diode kit to install or it will not work properly.

Re: Level of effort - adding trim-on-throttle
Thanks, I'm going to buy it from Fred in any case, so I'll just ring him up and ask him to send me whatever he thinks I'll need. I was just worried that it would be a huge project I'd get halfway through, then realize I was fubar...
