Header question, just curious

I was told that the headers on the 525EFI are more efficient than the 500EFI for a couple reasons...(A) longer tube length, better scavaging and (B) they are aluminum and dissipate heat faster.... would like to know also if I was to switch would they line up with my current holes in transom...opinions please...Rob

There not aluminum.I wouldnt think you would see much diff unless you had 700 plus HP.You would Still have to weight the cost diff.

The longer primary headers do make a significant H.P. improvement in most naturally aspirated motors at 502CI or larger. If the 500 Hp has standard tails the new 525 tails will fit without modification.
