Default Alpha 1 wont trim all the way in

searched through 9 pages....couldnt find anything.......will tilt all the way up and back down but stops before it gets all the way in.......then trim pump gains rpm like it became unloaded......about 4 on my trim indicator.......any help would be appriciated................doug

I have had this problem following changeout of the trim pump reservoir gasket. You simply have air in the system still, and not enough fluid in the reservoir. Keep adding fluid and trimming up and down. Your reservoir level should drop every time you trim it. After you have both sides of the rams full, and adequate level in the sump, it will work like a champ. Alternatively, you could disconnect the lines and prime them, but that's a several person job...

I did notice that drive had "trimmed itself down" over the winter.......is that related???

Trimmed all the way up and down about 4 times.....fixed it!!!!!
