Re: Adding marine a/c & generator?
A friend just bought an A/C for a little over $2K and installed it himself. (It's more complicated than you would think, but doable) My info on Gensets is old, but I would expect a 5K unit installed would be around $10-12K
If this is for a go-fast, look into a 7k BTU A/C and a 2500 watt power inverter w/ big 8D batteries. Much cheaper if you only need it for short overnighters. I've considered this but decided against it before I determined if it would work well or just get by.

I've got mermaid 9000BTU--if I had it to do over I'd get a 12,000BTU for FLorida--especially this summer.
I got a 5KW Kohlerfor $4000 2 years ago.
Check with Oean Breeze in Ft Pierce/Stuart FL. They are extremely knowledgable and have a great product--also sell direct.
