single dominator tunnel ram
why is it that i can find single dominator sheet metal intakes and some single tunnel rams at steveschmidtracing at about 12,000 dollars, but then i see holley tunnel rams for about 400 with dual carb setups? where can i find a holley/weiand tunnel ram for 400 that uses a single dominator set up?

Re: single dominator tunnel ram
cuse i just bought 3 new dominator carbs for my engines and would rather keep the carbs and everything than have to buy 6 new carbs and flame arrestors etc.

Unlike the other intakes, the top plate on the Dart is just that, a 1/4" aluminum plate. I think you can even buy them without any carb holes to do a custom setup.

Re: single dominator tunnel ram
i checked holleys and edelbrocks websites and found no such tihng as a single carb tunnel ram for a big block chevy.
tomcat: i found the dart manifolds and see how they can come with a blank top plate. its looks like the best choice right now, but what all is involved in cutting the plate for a single dominator? would i need a machine shop to do it?

Take the blank plate and a Dominator gasket to someone with a milling machine. Every machine shop has one. With a little measuring and marking they can mill and drill the carb and bolt holes in the center of the plate. When they're done it should look something like this.
