Call it the "Oil Pit" start by moving the "Marine Lubrication" Thread over from the
Q & A.

Might be helpful to keep it all in one place?

Sounds great! But think it will end up in uncensored.

Some of the threads we have had get too big...this way we can have a managed forum with multiple topics such as filters; coolers; synthetics; conventionals; mechanicals; additives; virgin oil test results; used oil test results; gear lubes; spline lubes; brand name threads....just some ideas...I think the time has come to contribute to oso in a greater capacity. We have Craig who is our Mobil expert and many of you who have chimed in with your experiences.

Hope it happens.

Another Idea that would be nice is to have a reference section Moderated to stay on topic!

Could include Lubrication
The winterize list
The sea pump change
Dyno sheets and specs
Replacement parts for Merc and aftermarket

You get the idea
This way it will have some more activity and keeps all of the above in a nice neat package.

A lot of these threads are great and I'm sure we have all had a tough time searching for them from time to time. One of the things that made this site great was the time/money saved by other folks experience.

Hey I thought you were on vacation

Call it the oil pit and other useful stuff area!

I think moving it is a good idea. Keeps all the oil/lube stuff in one area and handy for review/comments.

I like Scott's idea too. But I think the subject matter needs to be limited somewhat. If it's not limited, it will defeat the purpose of the move.
