Re: who sells raw water pressure releif valves
That's very interesting info, Fred!
Thanks!

I know I do get considerable air time with my little boat, and upon reentering, it never goes over 25psi with the Merc unit. I am not running strainers, and have only the stock Bravo side intakes.
I have no clue about air in the system, but it doesn't seem to matter. Apparently it purges quickly...
Granted, if properly mounted after the coolers, the coolers will have no problem with this loss of volume at lower pressures. I just worry about the motor. It needs pressure to keep the steam pockets at bay. If the loss of volume from this leads to dramatically lower motor water pressures in general, then I would be concerned...
I wonder what the flow volume is at 25psi? Is there a flow scale from 7 to 35psi available?
===
I do know that the Merc unit flows a LOT of water when open! It shoots water about 8 feet straight out the side of the boat, where I have the dump mounted!
===
Please remember that I am running a crossover with a bypass (EMI), so a stock circulating pump problably has no issues with running that relief valve setup.
Everyone should run one, IMO.
Kent
Thanks!
