Re: Volvo F series Due props.
I'm running a 89 25 Checkmate Convincor. It has a Volvo 502 (415hp) EFI engine with a Volvo drive. I'm running 67 plus on GPS at 4,600 rpm. I hope turning 5,000 rpm I can gain a few more miles per hour. I got to say even with the large F8's this boat pops right on plane. Even with the drive up and no tabs!

Re: Volvo F series Due props.
Russ- What drive and ratio are you running? Also- do you know the difference between E and F series props? I know they are designed for different drives, but do they have the same splines? I have a Fountain 27 with a volvo 290DP, and have machined a set of E4's to fit. Haven't tried them yet, but they have a lot more pitch than my C4's, which is what I am after. New motor makes about 630 HP, and I don't know what to expect from the props. Will do break-in with the C4's this weekend, then will switch to the E4's. Any experience or advise would be appreciated. Each prop size adds or removes approximately 300 rpms....depends on HP...I would go to a set of F5s.
Did you buy all these different sizes? You have a set of F8s?
