I ordered one of these tools (piece of plastice with 2 slots), but it won't be in till Monday.

Does anyone know what the approximate measurement is between the 2 slots so i can get my cable within reason?? or does anyone have a diagram of this tool with measurements?

I just changed mine on vacation 2 wks ago,pushed cable in till it bottomend in clamp on end in engine compartment and set adjustment to the same amount of threads that were used before and it works fine,Smitty
