Default Bravo 1 problems

When my bravo is in neutral and I turn the prop by hand left to right or right to left, I feel some play before you feel the gears have contact. Is this normal. I felt another out-drive and there was no play at all. I know that on a ring and pinion on a truck there is a small amount of play. Also, this out-drive has less then 20 hours on it. When I check the plug, no signs of water or metal. Any ideas?

it all depends on how much "some play" is

bravos are supposed to have backlash but not too much, if the blade moves left or right no more than 1/8" to 1/4" then you shouldn't have much to worry about
