Can a worn gimbal bearing cause a boat to chine walk? I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, since I had virtually no chine-walk before my gimbal became worn, and now that the bearing has been replaced the boat is handling much more like normal. I just don't understand why that would be the case. Any ideas?

I cant see a worn gimbal Bearing causing handling issues. Now if your gimbal ring/housing had slop in the pin.....then yes, the shifting of the drive side to side could cause an issue.

I was thinking the same as HP2000....
Cord.... could you elaborate on your answer as to why it would cause this problem??? I'm not an expert and always looking to learn something new....
