Default NEED HELP! Prop For a Daytona Eliminator?

I need to know what prop I should try on this boat with this setup. Any info would be great.

1988 20 Ft Daytona Eliminator

3.4 litre merc
15" Setback
Nosecone, low water pickups

Jack Plate with 7 1/2" of travel.

I have no Idea where to even start. I bought the boat and motor seperate. Please help.

Ask this question on the scream and fly board. 1000's of small outboard guys there.

Tell him to call throttle up. They are very helpful. tell him to stay away from b-blades if he wants it done right.

He hit 80+ yesterday with a 15X28 standard merc 4 blade but the Engine is set back wayyyyyyyyyyy to far. He couldn't trim out at all, he was about to blow over twice. He is going to remount the motor closer to the transom and add some tabs to it. He want's to see 100+ out of it. I don't see why he wouldn't 300+hp on a 20ft tunnel should do that easily with the right set up.

Most guys run a cleaver, you don't need lift, as the hull has lift built into it.

And pitch, depends on the RPM. Borrow a 28, 30 & a 32 and see what it does.

Some props will give much better mid throttle punch, and that is a great feeling.

I would hope he has it figured out by now considering this thread is almost 6 years old.

get rid of the setback, thats the enemy on that boat, go get a 28 and 30 pitch big ear and go run itwith a half of tank of fuel and two guys and see which one runs best.
