You can ask almost world class engine guy and you WILL get the same response.
Blue bearings and worn cylinder walls and rings. It is OK..... in a 200 hp motor that turns low ( sub 6000 ) rpm. But if you are building real power ( which requires RPM ) the stuff doesn't cut it.
Look too Redline, Klotz, or my favorite Alisyn.

Re: Amsoil Products
I still like the Amsoil 2-cycle oil called Sabre for lawn equiptment. You can go down as low as 1:100 for all applications but I have found 1:64 to be a bit too much...1:100 a bit too little and 1:80 perfect for 2-cycle snowblowers...weedwackers...etc.
The engine seems to start easier and run easy at full RPM. I was using Optimal which is a product made in W. Germany and it is not nearly as good but was better than conventional oils.

Re: Amsoil Products
It would be fun to see Alisyn 20W-50 and 2-cycle oils sent to Blackstone...a virgin test is what we need to make an informed decision with.

Re: Amsoil Products
I use AMSOIL in my drives and Alysin in my motors. My guess is all the really good oils are similar in performance. It's the change intervals and use that make or break.
