Key on siren comes on as soon as you turn the ingition key

Previous boats I have had had a 5 something second delay before the siren sounded to remind you the key was on. This one comes on as soon as the key is turned. This can't be right. help

Earlier MerCruisers had a delay module Incorporated in the warning system. I haven't seen them with the upgrade kits or new products for a few years now and the module is not available from Merc. at all. So don't worry; that's just the way it is now. (I don't like it either) --- Jer
