More prop/drive questions - for the experts
I've been talking to a friend of mine that has been breaking Bravo drives about props. I've been running the same 96 Bravos behind my 41 Velocity for about 10 years, 7 of those years has been behind 600 hp motors. I spend a lot of time in the ocean, but other than taking 1 tooth off a gear in 00, I haven't been breaking drives.
I was wondering if it had to do with the props, I run labbed B1 props but I did cut the diffuser ring off. Would that provide enough slip so the drive doesn't get hammered? Or is the RedLine Heavy Shockproof oil just that good?

A couple of years ago I did a survey of owners with broken Bravos and what was found was that drive showers, external steering, 26-28"pitch or less props, synthetic drive lube were ALL benificial. In fact, none were broke with all the above. Your N/A engines have less TQ than S/C motors and that is good for not breaking drives. So you have all the right things to not break a drive.
