Default Old school boat needs speed.

I have a older boat I want to get to go a little faster.
It is a 1986 baja 25, I have done a lot of work on this thing and I would like to keep it unless there is no hope.
(new paint,stringers,trans,engine,exhaust)
I run WOT 4400 tuning a mirage plus 23
I tried a bravo 1 and ran ? 4600-4800 22 p
top speed mid 50s
I have 454 mag approx 425-475 hp with trs edelbrock rpm heads (oval) rpm intake stainless exh. roller rockers cam-554 226 aprox.
what is the best thing to do to get speed?
I have pulled 300 lbs of metal of the engine.
I just want to know what did they use to do to get these boats to move?
I would like 60-65.

If your engine does realy make 450HP, it would make it above 5000rpm. So I would try a 21p Mirage or Mirage+. Bravo 1 props have a little too much dia. for deep TRS drives.
How much does the boat weigh?
When you trim up, does the bow free up?
I would also check the bottom for a hook that may have developed over the years. A friend of mine had an older 24' Formula that would not get out of its own way until he got the hook removed.

there is a hook at the back part of the boat on the rear fiberglass about 2 foot in and 1 to 1 1/2 down ...hook i thought it was from the factory?
when i trim it up the bow does free up and i get 300 rpm more.
I think the boat weighs 5000 to 5500 lbs. i called baja they said it only weighs 4800.
do you think the hook might be a big problem? or is it prop?
