469HO Water Seperating Fuel Filter Replacement
Is there a direct replacement water seperating fuel filter for the 496HO (2005) that provides increased capacity for the water and or a drain valve? Specifically I mean a replacement that will screw on to the stock fuel filter mounting on the side of the engine.

I don't know what to say. I just changed the filter and it is a screw on type and the rig is titled as 2005. When did they change to the Gen 3 cool fuel system?
In any case I have the screw on style, and I would like to get a larger capacity screw on replacement.
Thanks!

If you are getting the engine year info based on the boat year that may be the confussion, boat builders often use engines that were built as long as 3 years prior to the boats completion. If the boat is an 05' then the engine could likley be an 04'. As far as the filter, do a search I'm sure hydrocruiser has posted the part numbers from atleast a dozen diffrent companys of replacment filters for that one. That screw on water sep filter is the same one they have used for 20 years.

hillbilly,
That is interesting! I guess the engine serial should tell the real story of vintage.
I thought hydocruiser only tracked oil related items. I'll give him a try.
