Fuel pump for above 550hp big block application
What fuel pump do most of you run on a engine above 550hp? I've noticed Mercruiser changed fuel pumps on anything above the 525. Do anyone know the fuel pump gpm on the stock Mercruiser fuel pumps, 525 and under and 525 and over?

BG, Carter, and CV products all have a mechanical fuel pump that would supply an engine of that HP. RumRunner on this board works for BG, he is probly at SEMA all this week but you may want to PM and get his advice.

MoPower,
Does that pump have the "special" arm that allows you to bolt on to the Mercruiser factory fuel pump/sea pump housing?
I've talked to carter, Holley, and a few others and it seems you can't get a high pressure- big volume pump for Marine application that will bolt on.
PS, I looked at the pic and noticed the part number. I have that actual pump. The arm didn't work on my HP500.

Re: Fuel pump for above 550hp big block application
I have one in stock myself, but it won't do me any good on a stock Mercruiser application.
Yes it will bolt directly to the block, but I want to bolt the fuel pump on the factory position in the assembly that drives the seawater pump and fuel pump.

What size fittings are on those pumps. Seems all the pumps with the big ports all require a regulator.
Can you get anything that doesn't require a regulator and supply say 700 hp blown??
