Head runner size 325 or 345???
So here it is I'm rebuilding my Whipple 500hp's I ordered two set's of Dart pro 1 119 chamber's and 325cc runners now here's my problem I had them shipped directly to Indy cylinder heads for some porting I got the heads and they were 345cc runners so they dropped shipped the wrong heads to Indy but now they have been ported they wont take them back so I'm looking for opinions on how well do you think they will work?? I was thinking I would loose some on the bottom end but how much?? or are they jest too big and I should jest buy two more set's of the 325s???
some of my spec's
4.500 bore with Je flat top's
Cam is a Crane 632/632 256/256 on a 114 center lobe
Whipple was up dated and a smaller pulley
So tell me what you think

The 345's are more head than you need, but not the end of the world. On top end they will likely work fine! On the low end there will likely be less torque, but with a Whipple this may actually be a benefit helping keep your drive together. Just think when you are ready to step up to a 540 + CI motor you haved the perfect heads!! I wouldn't sweat it too much!!

I had a set of 345 Grumpy's on a Pro Charged 502 and a 236/244 112 .610/.632 Crane hyd roller. They worked fine.
Cruised at 3200rpm ~3" of vac on a 4500+ lb boat.

Too much cam. You'll be into valve float before you get to the power peak. A Crane 741 would be closer. Y ou don't need as big a cam when you have good flowing heads. You also want less overlap when using a blower.

The cam is what Dustin recommended with the 325cc or the 335cc heads
The heads I found on eBay it turns out there a big part's distributer on the east coast and they had six sets of them so they ran a special on them so even after the porting I saved over $400. a set over buying them from Indy

I also feel your 256 cam for a 509 is a bit big but, to answer your question, I was up around 900hp with my setup. That is an educated guess with engine combo, boat:design, weight etc,and speed, backed up by desk top dyno.
