Default dash repair

have 96 cig. top gun. dash was anodized purple and is now faded. i am in a location where having it re anodized or powder coated is not an option. two questions...

is there any way to polish this back or make it look presentable

or

i saw in the classifieds at some point someone selling new dash/gage panals for these but can't find the ad anymore...anyone know who this was/is ?

you can polish the anodizing off , it will take some work , plus having to disassemble all of the gauges etc. i don't think i would want polished though , 1 good catch of a sunbeam , could really hurt your eyes.

If you want to remove the anodization... you need to do a "reverse" on the part. Take it to a place that specializes in anodization.. ask them to "strip" the color off... either re-polish or sand for a texture.. then re-anodize.
