Changing over to MPI in my 502
I have a 1992 502 Magnum and was thinking about converting it over to a MPI. Is this a big job. I got a good deal on everything needed except for the ECM and wiring harness. Is this a wise choice are should I just leave it alone.

No it is not a big job.
Just buy the shop manual for what ever year the MPI system you got.
The ECM and wiring harness seem to be the toughest parts to come buy though. I've got a spare intake, throttle body and... with no harness or ECM too...

I have a MPI with a procharger and could provide you with info on the EFI for the 502. I might be interested in your revolution exhaust. Bob 530 587 4700 (Tahoe) or [email protected]

I think I have a harness for an early 502 with a Mefi 2, i would be happy to let it go cheap.

I've been interested in doing the same conversion, would appreciate if you could post your experience and parts list needed to do the job.
I've got 94 carbed 454 motors and was told along with the mpi unit itself, the wire harness, fuel pump and some unknown sending/sensor fittings would be needed.
Good luck and again, appreciate if you could post your findings.

Re: Changing over to MPI in my 502
I converted my Carb setup to EFI. I used the Holley MPI setup with the Laptop programable ECU. I would not say it is a easy job however. It takes a lot of tweeking on the laptop but it does work pretty well. I am still having issues with getting good O2 readings for tuning on the fly. I think I may get a stand alone wideband gauge to help tune and monitor the Air Fuel Ratio.
