Are you thinking of staying on the river or on the intercoastal?

I'm checking with the event organizer. Last year the boats launched at the Gun & Tackle club and kept their boats at the dock. I'm not sure if that's the plan this year because of work being done at the club. As soon as I hear back I'll let you know.

Hyatt Regency Downtown Jacksonville is where the PR is held ... I think maybe the river would be a better choice and staying downtown leaves you open to run to St Augustine Via Intercoastal waterway or outside in the Atlantic .... I am trying to think If the Hyatt has slips ... I am thinking not but the City owned Metro Park is just east of the Hyatt ..walking distance ... there are a cpl of Ramps close by ... one right across the River ..... I cant really think where a Hotel is with Slips right at the Hotel ... There are plans though On the South bank there is a nice restaurant with a Marina .. I think you can moor there ... again a 5 min walk to the Hotels ..several on the South Bank ..... The metro is the newest and most protected .. out of the wakes and nice concrete floating slips ... From downtown you can go South on the River ..all the way to Lake George and beyond .... there are small cabin type marinas down there with slips right at your door ... not the Marriott mind you ... Cuda would be the one to ask about those ... Be glad to chat with ya about it ... meanwhile I will do some checking ......mike

I confirmed the Angel Aid poker run is 4/28-4/29. Participants can launch and keep their boat at the gun & tackle club. The participating hotel and the final schedule should be out next week. I'll send it to you when I get it.

I think OfftheFront is referring to the Firefighters Poker Run which takes place in June when he mentions the Hyatt.
