hmn..for everyone who knows about blackhawks, i have a few questions...what parts in the blackhawks were only made for the blackhawk (internals), whats gears go in the upper and lower? could you strengthen with upgraded gears? also, where can you find the weird double props for it? can you switch the propshaft to work with regular bravo props or merc o/b props, or would that hurt the performance? does a boat with these drives need a lot of bow lift already? thanks in advanced

The one peice case and the vertical shaft are unique to BH drives. The gears are Bravo uppers and B3 lowers.
I have heard of a kit to put a single SSM style lower shaft in and run a SSM prop but haven't ever seen one done.
Yes, you need natural bow lift from either rocker or a tunnel.
Props are hard to come by, especially 31's. Real rare. There are places that will make props for you but $$$
I was quoted 1600 usd each for custom 32's.
What hull are you thinking about and how much HP?

stinger, if you would like to talk to the person that designed the blakhawk drive call 920-236-4220 and ask for Gary Sr. there isnt a single person in the universe that knows more about the drive then him.
