Adapting outdrive trim pump for tabs

I have bennett dual ram tabs, and there's only one line going into each ram, at the top.
I plan to replace the hydraulic actuators for the seat bolster with electric ones, and i'll be left with two pumps that look exactly like the pump for the outdrive trim, but with a smaller motor (each still far bigger than the one motor on the bennett pump). Two output ports, one for up, one for down.
My question is, can i adapt this style pump to the trim tabs that only have one port? can i plug the other port on the pump and get the results i want? With one port plugged, will the pump suck on the other port rather than blow on the plugged port?
