Default Shorter drives and Water pressure

At what point when installing IMCO -2 shorty would one start to worry about the H2o pressure ? Is it a speed thing or what? I currently have a low water pick up Bravo I and have no problems with this as of yet but if I install a shorty am I asking for water pressure problems and if so what is the cleanest simplest way to deal with it? Regulate it or dump it over .....need some help.
please advise.

Bryan

Use a pressure relief valve and dump the excess.

Mine is from Teague, and feeds off the sea strainer. It's also adjustable from 15-30psi. You could just T it in line if you’re not straining. KPM racing also has some slick ones. Trick Marine can help with those.
