I'm pretty shure the Konrad Ace Drive is a direct bolt up to a TRS drive. Or maybe it's the 520..or 540. You can also run a higher X dimention with the Konrad.

I would love to put on Konrad drives but that is not an option, there is no sense for me to put $20,000 drives on a boat with mild horsepower weighing 6800lbs. I love my TRS drives and they have been great to me, (minus the time I ran one with only 1.5 quarts of oil, OUCH! don't always believe the dipstick the check valve can fail) I was just wondering if there was any benefits to a #2 lower cause I found some cheap, but with new props and deeper drives and less parts available there are no benefits to #2's. And I know a place that does TRS work and they seem rather inexpnsive. I can order the Timken bearings for the TRS and have a few sets extra gears laying around for the future.
When I do find my 38' hull with no drives the Konrad will be my only choice.
