The impellor has a tendency to groove the cover quite a bit and as soon as its fairly considerable, the water pressure starts to drop off quite a bit. If you want to save some money versus buying a new pump and this is the problem, take the cover to a good welding shop, have the cover brazed back thicker and then resurface it and you've still probably saved yourself about $300 bucks! Just a tip.

Fresh, clear, but shallow and we anchor and hang out there most of the time. the bottom is soft sand pretty much every where. I plan on changing my impellers as well, I can pretty much bet the pump housing has some grooves.
