Default ATL fuel cell, anyone tried one?

I'm completly rebuilding a 30 scarab. when i pulled the tank the foam was soaked. I don't like the idea of foaming it back in. It seems there is no perfect way of sealing the area,
so i thought of mounting the tank in 4 or 5 1/4" thick stainless straps between the stringers. Another option might be a fuel cell such as ATl. Anyone out here run the ATl tank?
How much are they? How durable/long lasting? If anyone has info that would be great!!!!

Thanks for the replys, what's a general ballpark price for a rectangular 140 gal tank? How do they mount in the hull? I i'm assuming they just sit in their area between the stringers.

you can do it a couple or three ways...

1) they supply yo a complete cell...i.e a metal box with a bladder and foam ready to go... it is then your responsibility to mount and secure that box in whatever manner satisfies you or your technician. they have a zillion std sizes to choose from.

2) you make your own box in whatever manner you choose... the have them make a custom bladder w/ foam etc to fit in your box.

3) you have or create a hard compartment somewhere within the hull into which you install the bladder of the appropiate size and shape...

the bladder is just a soft ballistic kevlar bag with the foam and fittings in it that holds the fuel... it needs a "can" or cavity to hold it... since most of what atl does is motorsports , most of their stuff is painted mild steel... but im sure they can do stainless or whatever you want. they build stuff for everyone on the planet from f1 cars to aircraft to boats... so they will have your answers for sure.

I called ATL the other day they said a cell w/my dimentions would be @ $1500. I'll have to decide if i'm gonna go w/that or shorten my aluminum tank 8" and make the stainless straps to mount it. I have to shorten the tank 'cause i moved the rear bulkhead forward 8" to make room for my twin disc trannys and Kaama drives. It will live this summer after four years of breaking a$s on it!!!!
