Bravo noise.
I just got my boat back from storage and it seems to make a clunk noise when going into forward only. it does not do this in reverse. Is this normal? Does something need to be adjusted? What do I check for adjustments. Seems to work fine just the noise. Sorry for the stupid questions I am new at this.

Re: Bravo noise.
bravos should not "clunk " when going into gear ussually means too much back lash somewhere ( more then likly in the lower )
have someone that is experianced building bravos look at it, it is not a do it your self job

What RPM are you idle/shifting gear. If you are much more than 950 RPM when shifting you are too high for bravo. I would also make sure the prop-nut is tight. If those 2 thing is OK I agree with GOODT you should have your drive inspected before serious damage occur

Re: Bravo noise.
Shifting into gear at around 800rpm. I talked to my boat shop today and they told me that the forward shifter cable is probably stretched and either needs to be adjusted or replaced. Has anyone heard of this?

Re: Bravo noise.
Could be, but you can easily find out by disconnect your gear cable on the shiftpanel on engine. It must be the cable that goes down under your engine and thru drive transom. By pull or pushing with your hands you are able to shift gear with full travel lenght on cable. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO IT. IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO PUT IT BACK IN NEUTRAL SO DO IT ON OPEN WATER WITH NO OTHER BOATS AROUND YOU. BE SURE YOU CAN SHUT THE ENGINE OFF IF NEEDED.
