Porting 990 heads, how much is it worth?
I found the cylinder-head-flow-bench on www.chevyhiperformance.com for my 990 GM heads.
I put the data in my desk top dyno 2000 and get following output:
RPM HP Torq
2000 175 460
2500 232 488
3000 290 507
3500 354 531
4000 417 548
4500 473 552
5000 511 537
5500 527 503
6000 511 447
Engine is:
-454 0.30 over deck milled near zero
-CR 9.3
-Crane 139011 Z-cam hydraulic roller (same cam as 139731)
-Crane gold roller rockers
-Lightning headers free flow
-single Plane Merlin intake
-Holley 9022 800 cfm
The head was professional ported (light).
the cylinder head flow i put in the desk top dyno is for stock heads. Anyone know how much its worth? and how it works? Bottom end, midrange, top end, or all way up?
