Mine has done that almost every spring on almost every boat. Last fall I remembered to only fill about 3/4 tank which worked. The gas expands much more than you would think. Last spring I brought the boat home from it's winter storage on a nice sunny day in march. Later that day I had a stream (yes a constant stream!!) of gas pouring out the vent for 2-3 hours until I pumped about 10 gallons out of it!!!

My 27' Fountain does this all the time. I like to fill up early in the am so I can hear the fuel just beginning to "gurgle" (this takes calibrated eardrums!). If you wait till too late, the loud Harleys drown out the sound and the fuel ruins your new wax job.

My previous 27and now my 32 both do that to.
I do the same thing, ear towards the filler and listen. Becomes interesting at the stations that have the outside speakers blairing away.

This is funny, were all doing the same thing, the washer squeege, listening, keeping the wax in the truck to redo that one spot. I say Its a fountain issue, cant get the tank full then it shows 3/4 when it has 10 gallons left. Go figure. I feel better now that I'm not alone. By the way dropped it in yesterday and my 365 hour impeller finaly died, knew it was time.

Ever think about the next guy putting gas on his windsheild? I'm guilty of using the squeegy at the pump on my boat too.

Actually I do think of that, I dont touch the gas with the squeege, I press it above the spot to squeeze out the juice and wipe it up with those nice towels.
I have a line on the racor unit at a discount, I know a guy who......I believe these things when I have it in my hand.
