Default Speedometer fitting

On a HP transom,I'm looking for the 1/8" hose barb that treads into the fitting on the transom to hook the hose up to.The problem is that it is not 1/8 pipe tread like I thought. Its a lot smaller, about half the size.Where can I get two of these,I can't find them on any parts listing or parts stores.

Thanks Nordic95

Those are 1/16 NPT's. You are talking about inside the bilge, right?
I order 2 from Boatfix last yr. Mine were pt#19. That's the fitting that you hook the speedo tube to, coming from the speedo, in the bilge. That then screws into the transom fitting #23 or 24 depending on yr.

Mine is a '99, design #1. What you have may be different as I see a 'quick disconnect' under design 2.

On the newer Fountains that have the speedo hoses mounted to the transom on the outside, where they do not use the outdrives factory speed tube from the yellow connector to teh transom assembly, Fountain removes the 1/16 NPT fitting you are looking for and install a pipe plug. I din't like the 2 extra hoses there, so I removed them, had the 2 transom holes glassed over and put it back to how Merc designed it to be. Made ZERO difference on the speedo's operation. Much cleaner now.

Anyways the part is under --- > Bravo One drives----->bell housing
