Started with carb'd hp500's. Bowl blended the heads, cut the heads .020 and put cometic .027 head gaskets, changed the cams to 731's and degree'd them in, changed to crane hi-6m ignition and raised the rev limiter, added an hvh 1" spacer, and sent the stock carbs to mesa balancing to do his voo-doo.
Ill post all the rpm/hp/tq numbers, but peak hp was 509.5 hp @ 5700 Rpms at the prop, all accessories running, wet exhaust, and the engine hatch closed.
Bob at full throttle marine did all the engine work. He thinks there is alot more than the normal "30 hp loss" through the outdrive, with wet exhaust, closed hatch and all accessories (alternator charging 2 batteries, fuel pump, impellor, power steering and water pump)
Ill post the rest of the numbers tonight when i have the dyno sheets in front of me.
